    It'd also outright put the lives of activists, human rights defenders, journalists, those fleeing violence and abuse and so, so many other communities and individuals that need protection at life-threatening risk. Further it'd effectively make whistleblowing impossible.

    Forcing social media users to identify themselves means every public servant, teacher, nurse, cop, anyone with a job with a strict HR policy on public post, etc etc etc won’t be able to participate in public discussion about politics or policy. How is this good for democracy?
