Maybe if we gave the Chinese swimmer Sun the same benefit of “innocent until proved guilty” instead of being a bunch of sanctimonious a holes we wouldn’t look like a pack of hypocrites. Jacks failed both A & B samples - Sun is up for not supplying a sample

I did- have you heard his explanation? Was confronted by ‘officials’ without authorisation/proof of identity. He contacted others & they said, Don’t give blood or, if already given, smash the samples, which he did. Jury is OUT & we should not be pre-judging.

Yep. Have to agree. Maybe we could be nicer to the unemployed too, and the sick, and the disabled, and the elderly, and people with mental illness. And not just those who get their names in the headlines.

...and the people Labor happily abandoned on Manus island and Nauru. Real heart, Labor!

I agree, a terrible mistake, perhaps mis judgement who knows, let the process she is in play out. Social media can take a horrible toll on young people.

Hm intersting, this was nowhere near the stand the media and public where taking a few days ago with the Chinese swimmer. So let me put this into perspective, Australian white female, has feelings and should be seeing as a person, Chinese male, definitely a cheater?

Quite right, but I wonder if you'd show the same understanding (or care less) if she wasn't Australian.

Maybe there should be two levels of sport - drug free (Organic) and drugged (Open). This whole testing procedure is stupid and filled with dual standards. Banned for swallowing a head ache pill? How ridiculous is that?
-
Totally agree, Eddy & I have felt that way for yonks. The first time I became aware of drugs in sport was following the death of Tom Simpson during the 1967 Tour de France & I was shocked. Let them all take whatever they like & eventually, I'm sure, athletes will want to be clean
