Very true. However I think the extreme of this logic sometimes leads operators or investors to place too many bets or be flip about single decisions.

Some decisions have bigger impact than others, but we make them all the same way: based on our brain programming & heartfelt emotions. The only way to change it is to RE-program mostly by learning. I suspect we’ll end up optimizing both: magnitude & percentage, along the way.

Sounds like clinical diagnoses. In medicine, you can make a ton of mistakes and still have a good outcome, and, conversely, you can do everything right and still have a bad outcome. Loose coupling of cause-and-effect in healthcare.
