That's freaking dangerous. Hope they identified the team from the bottle and take appropriate action. Clearly someone doesn't know how to stow a bidon on a cage properly. Assuming it wasn't from a spectator originally, of course! Imagine if that'd been on a 70kph+ descent?!

I hope Geraint is ok, most importantly. So now, Ineos have a leadership dilemma for the Vuelta - Froome, Bernal, Thomas... been here before as I recall!

Not sure G can go to Vuelta as Giro won’t be finished when Vuelta starts. Rules say can’t drop out to enter another race that overlaps I believe
