Victorians feel abandoned by most of the media & isolated from the rest of the country. Every person has suffered in ways it’s hard to explain. Job & income loss & depressing isolation. Months & months virtually alone with the joys of life, laughter and other people stripped out.

Instead there has been high anxiety & the silence of isolation. Attacks on their leader feels like snipers trying to take him down when people needed him to succeed, to keep going, to not be distracted, to not give up. Every shot feels like a threat to safety & sanity.

People outside of Victoria should not underestimate how going through over 100 days of isolation affects people. We cannot rely on anyone other than our fellow Australians to help us feel normal and better again. Don’t wait, call or text a Victorian today. Ideas on what to say:

Watching the grand final last night made me truly realise that the rest of the country has no idea. Sweaty footballers shaking hands of tiny children, no masks, made me cringe each time.
