    We want to see & the commit to $1 min wage raises annually & expect to see the economy improve as poor people get more spending power. Also, social assistance rates need to go up. If full time workers are under the poverty line, than think about these folks.

    Add this to the fact that we have the lowest # of stat holidays and the longest work week (at 48 hrs!) there is still a long way to go regarding worker's rights in NS. That said, we are emboldened by this latest victory and how well it has been received.

    We still have no job security in NS for contract workers, which are often the most vulnerable in our workforce (janitors, bus drivers, food service workers, etc). They can be effectively fired en-masse w/only 2 weeks notice & no severance, as happened at Founders Square.
