It doesn't make sense that the DNC Chair usually isn't a current elected official but the DCCC Chair usually is.

It's amazing it even has to be said. Of course he needs to step down first. You can't lead the campaign committee while running your own campaign against a fellow Dem. It's improprietous.

I don't think she's wrong here - the DCCC chair is a powerful position and the chair is usually someone from a safe seat who's not running against a fellow Democrat incumbent.
