I’m surprised about this. Feels like a representative disconnect of politicians in DC and their constituency on both sides of the aisle considering this decision did not have much of any support in DC

Did they ask, can you find Afghanistan on a map? Do you even know what this conflict is about?

Geographic ignorance actually correlates to support for war.
People who can find a country on a map are far less likely to agree to conflict there.
There is nothing going on in Afghanistan that 2500 american trooops will be able to fix. so bring them home and have the allies all work with diplomacy.

But first bring them home. Bidens withdrawal is shaky especially going into fighting season & with 1000s of deniable forces being left after September. Additionally there are still several other theaters of combat.
We need the Defend the Guard act now.
