This position is out of step with Trump’s frequent rhetoric that he will protect preexisting conditions. The brief calls for the opposite and he has not offered a replacement plan that addresses the issue.
This would also lead to ~20 million Americans losing their health insurance in the middle of a pandemic without a replacement plan, let alone one with a chance of becoming law. There’s a reason many congressional Republicans want to drop this issue.
