I was taken, unconscious after an accident, to an out of network hospital where I spent 5 days in the ICU. $80,000 bill, all appeals to insurance denied. Had to hire an lawyer to resolve. Our medical system is metastasizing into something grotesque.

No it's been grotesque for decades! They whine "In Canada you have to wait for Months". I had to wait 12 YEARS! for a 1-HOUR Surgery!
