good article. where do you think these "low-status" men stood in the previous hierarchy?
I can see that less attractive, less charismatic men would likely have a better time in a hierarchy that valued qualities besides raw sex appeal, but I do find it tough to visualise where like, r/incel posters would stand in the 50s haha

I'm just not convinced our society is that much different in this way from 1920s America. Ugly accountants with no charisma but a good job can get a wife today, just as they could back then. Society still values men as bread winners.
