I'm looking to learn some Rust basics, coming from a JavaScript background. Which resources can you recommend? What could be a nice small project to get some hands on experience?

The built in docs (locally run `rustup doc`, and the std lib docs via `rustup doc --std`) are handy to have open in a tab. this tutorial might be a good one to start with (you don't need to go down the unsafe part though). https://rust-unofficial.github.io/too-many-lists/ it's good because it gives you a sense of high-level design, and combining the most important rust traits to do useful things, as well as lifetimes
