when a mutual you thought you were cool with unfollows you, do you follow up? unfortunately twitter is such a poorly implemented platform you can't even be sure if they _meant_ to do it (but it's definitely much more likely than not)
the poll results pretty much agree with my own take I sometimes find twitter frustrating because I'm the type of person where even just vibing together indirectly feels like a friendship growing to me, and when other people show me that that in fact wasn't the case, I feel dumb
this goes into other social anxiety pieces for me, though. I really do _not_ like feeling ambivalent about other people or our relationship, and I _hate_ having those people pop up randomly in my life

always unfollow and then refollow if they refollow, tit for tat, it's the fairest way to do it imo
usually my go-to too, though lately I've been playing around with thinking about it as "keeping the door open" just in case
I don't see what's to be gained really. I don't even deliberately track who's unfollowing me.
me neither but occasionally I have the misfortune of noticing that they were following me and then noticing very soon after that they unfollowed
from personal experience: if you know or strongly suspect the reason and believe it could actually be addressed, following up may be warranted. if it's an unclear situation, depends on how much of a prior relationship you had
If I feel like we've got some actual connection I'd follow up Otherwise? Let it slide.
I just let things be personally; not really trying to convince anyone to be around me. If I unfollow it would be for my own reasons as well, just as much as they have their own. You can always ask, unfollow, let things be, or refollow like Snav's implemented.
I assume it’s nothing personal, they’re just not interested in whatever weird stuff I’m into these days
