The California bullet train project has cost state taxpayers an average $3.1 million a day over the last year – a construction spending rate higher than any U.S. transportation project in recent history. But still it's not enough, planners say. https://www.sacbee.com/news/state/article217360450.html …

Even if it's completed as dreamed, it will STILL lose money every single day of operation. I wonder how many homes for poor and homeless could be built for $3,100,000 a day for 365 days.

Why does it always have to go to socialist programs? How about improving the outdated infrastructure, building desalination plants in southern California, lowering taxes so cost of living is not so high....

Waste of money. Imagine what CA could have done with all that money. No Homeless. Drug Rehab. More COURTS so pretrial defendants wouldn’t be “stuck” in jail because our courtrooms were closed by Chief Justice Sakauye—queen of wasting money on travel and CHP bodyguards. 🚫SB10

Wacky Moonbeam Jerry Brown’s fraud on California. Money earmarked for road repairs stolen by him for this project, one NO ONE wants. Blight and eye sore in the communities it goes through. The enduring symbol of graft, corruption, fraud and taxation by the democrats.

While even many third world countries are improving and building high speed rail we are so backward we can't even get one high speed rail project done. It's really pathetic. Go to Europe and see how well they are connected. Climate change is real.

All the reason to end this massive waste of money. As long as a plane is faster and cheaper there will be no reason to use yesterday’s technology today.

Who wants to take a plane? Everyone is driving and polluting instead. High speed rail is a must. Look at the other countries. This is a much cleaner alternative. Do you not know about Climate change?

Your climate change beef is with China and India so don’t even go there. Do you want to be saddled with subsidizing the HSR for its life? Other countries HSR is to ease overcrowding on existing RR. Cali doesn’t have that problem. It is also very energy intensive. Too slow as well
