'but mental health!! seeing the numbers change causes nothing but anxiety and stress' is basically the only argument yt have for it and its not even entirely true
not exactly. many people find it hard to cope with an algorithm that very much favours daily/regular uploads and go through burnout or stop enjoying making content. having to compete with corporate channels that can upload multiple videos daily makes it even harder

they do though, people lose interest if they stop being recommended videos by a channel or if the channel stops uploading for a while
