From what I've been told, Extinction Rebellion was extremely effective last year specifically because it was started by academics who applied what they've studied about grassroots movements. I'm sorry I'm not recommending a book, but still– maybe that'll help you in your research

This doesn’t sound like the *first* step in movement building, right? Don’t you have to find some people who *do* agree with you, before building bridges to people who don’t? If literally nobody agrees with you, you don’t have a movement.
