I’m basically working on the assumption that the antibody test might (?) indicate exposure to the virus (gotta read in more depth) but tells you nothing about how likely you are to be immune to new infections?

quite possible IMO. I haven’t looked at it systematically but my sense is that looking at a few antibody measures in combination can very accurately pick up people with known infection history, but very possible antibodies didn’t play a big role in clearing the virus

there’s an RSV challenge study in which baseline nasal IgA level is a better predictor of infection than serum IgG, but neither one is that great
