In part 1 of the post, he discusses it as if it is something other than a vaccine, and as if it could arrive faster than the 12–18 month timeline for vaccines. E.g., this paragraph. This makes me think you haven't read my post carefully. A natural attenuated strain is just a strain of a virus, it is the use of strain that would make it a vaccine. As for why it could be faster, we are starting from what is equivalent to a Phase III human trial.
