The improvement is in symptoms and CT appearance of pneumonia; the study didn't measure viral titer. So I still have questions about *how* it works.

This is nice but is this going to make a substantial difference to our predicament? The lockdown right now is doing huge damage. Hydroxychloroquine probably won't end the lockdown - the effect isn't strong enough to just let everyone get ill.

if administered to close contacts of cases, healthcare workers as prophylactic, and immediately upon onset of presumptive symptoms it could be a game changer. No anti viral will never be a game changer for ppl already in ARDS.
