Best criticism I’ve seen is that IQ is like defining a “strength quotient” by averaging the strengths of all your muscles. Probably would give similarly good statical result but clearly it’s not causal and can be quite misleading.

IQ is real frequentism, so according to positivism, it's a real thing. Calling it 'intelligence' is a marketing move. Also, frequentism is basically terrible epistemology. If you want to predict people, build Bayesian models.
