I have to admit I've also become mostly unable to enjoy movies - except the occasional work of genius, which transcends the art-form anyway! I "get" them now; can't immerse myself (in novels, theatre yes!) - And it's all the weirder because it used to be my job to WRITE movies.https://twitter.com/s_r_constantin/status/1242873770139717632 …

My favorite movie from an "art" perspective is "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" because IT'S A PLAY. There are 4 characters and one set! I know where everything is at all times! None of that weird "brain fog" feeling of "nothing makes sense."

I am quite obsessed with chamber drama movies and wrote a bunch! Persona or Good Night, and Good Luck are other favourites. In some sense Belle de Jour.
