Had a call with the @jacksonlab Yesterday. They apparently:
A) View telomere elongation as simple mutations.
B) Are also not able to easily say which mouse lines may have had changes in breeding protocols.
C) Do not monitor telomere length.
according to their representative.https://twitter.com/jacksonlab/status/1232485456601698304 …

Oh, it was in mice where telomere length wasn’t associated with lifespan: https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=telomere+length+and+lifespan+in+mice&btnG=#d=gs_qabs&u=%23p%3DFkCshe0CdwwJ …

Hmm yes-- this is also across different strains instead of being a proper RCT, but in general it does not appear that maximum lifespan itself is affected.

Telomerase activators do not appear to be effective at greatly increasing the lifespans of experimental animals. Different issue. Evidence seems broadly suggestive for improved health and reduced mortality, but not for improved maximum lifespan. Cycloastragenol is another one.
