oh, also, a (realistic and skeptical) interest in "better than well" health and cognitive improvement. (Nootropics; caring about air, light, and sleep quality; emotional healing and movement/posture techniques).

knowing that solar power is cheap and getting cheaper is (for now) a good signal that you're paying attention to the fundamental prerequisites for industrial civilization and that you aren't limited by "save the environment"/"make a profit" dichotomies.

I've had decent luck with meeting people at conferences and technical meetups (the person talking animatedly is usually My People). That plus everybody comes to the Bay eventually.
