It’s annoying how often I go looking for advice on “how to X” where X is a soft skill, and just get reiterations of “X is really important.” Yeah, I know, but you didn’t tell me anything new here.

I'd be interested to hear examples of "X", to see whether I'd be like, "Ooh! I actually do know of useful stepwise practices for X!" or if I'm more like ,"Oof, yeah, I haven't found any either."

Material on emotional regulation is egregious in this respect; psychology books are full of “your Emotional Brain goes into high gear in stressful situations; you need to compassionately tell it No” which is just...restating the problem with more neurobabble...
