It’s annoying how often I go looking for advice on “how to X” where X is a soft skill, and just get reiterations of “X is really important.” Yeah, I know, but you didn’t tell me anything new here.
You can't get greater physical strength/endurance through verbal communication either, but someone can still give you an exercise program and tell you "you'll improve if you do these exercises on these days" and that can be helpful.

Good point. Perhaps movement is intuitive for many humans, and communicable through direct instruction and simple visual models. Basic soft skills are intuitive too. Rare/valuable soft skills are often counterintuitive or otherwise hard to implement (making them rare/valuable).

I guess that if a skill is unintuitive for a particular person, advice is less likely to help. (And also hard to logically communicate in a way the learner would understand).
