If a soft skill could be learned through verbal analytical communication, I don't think it would be a very 'soft' skill. Perhaps developing a soft skill requires trust, time, and mentorship. Maybe I misunderstand the type of skill you mean; what is an example?

You can't get greater physical strength/endurance through verbal communication either, but someone can still give you an exercise program and tell you "you'll improve if you do these exercises on these days" and that can be helpful.
