Is there a meaningful distinction between "ethics" and "morality" as terms? In what contexts does it hold?

I don’t know how standard this is, but “ethics” etymologically refers to behavior (same as “ethology”) while “morality” refers to custom (or “mores”).

So I usually use ethics to refer to the question “what shall I do?” And morality to refer to the question “what is, or shall be, the social norm?”
