If (big if) I'm more rational than them, it's only because I've spent a ton of time questioning myself. And, I'm not sure I *am* consistently more rational than them. I am certainly more worried about my own irrationality than most people are, but that's not the same thing.

And yes, given that I'm a person, and that people aren't immune to such problems, I'm absolutely part of the problem. And I'm *absolutely* irrational in much of my own behavior and thinking, and that's *absolutely* a problem for me personally.
