I have regular nightmares about trying to get #tensorflow working on my GPU. Getting blood out of a stone would be easier.
Finally installed everything and it seems to all be playing nicely, but no speedup compared to CPU?!
Turns out it's failed and silently fallen back to CPU!

If you have no /usr/local/cuda/ folder but nvidia-smi says a CUDA version, does that mean that CUDA actually isn't installed and nvidia-smi is lying, or does it mean that CUDA is installed but somewhere super secret?

I think I resolved this by running my job on a different computer, so I don’t know.
