Lovely set design, great performances, really powerful evocation of the thing. Powerful enough that a lot of young women online think it’s a wish-fulfillment fantasy, which is kinda creepy.

Maybe? It’s not too gory, but it’s also fiction, not an accurate account of any specific traditional practice.
