I’m not saying we should all pile on her in particular; I’m sure it’s not fun to be her right now and I’m sure there are lots of other founders that have done worse and not gotten caught. (One of the perils of being female in the public eye: your scandals are extra scandalous.)
I don’t think it’s absurd that any VC would. I just think it’s possible that some wouldn’t (or would focus their diligence efforts elsewhere, like going through financial documents.)

Then they shouldn't invest outside of simple software. This is part of a trend with VCs thinking they can be experts in biology chemistry, materials, aviation, space, and robotics so they invest in all those areas at once. Software works because most startups do 'trivial' things.
