Sometimes I have a crazy intuition like “if people just categorically refused to work with anybody who seemed untrustworthy or “fake” or trying to take advantage, the world would be better.”
Yes, but. Living under “free market capitalism” does not guarantee that people will make voluntary choices, only that governments will not stop them from doing so. I’m advocating that people actually *take* the choices they are in principle free to take.

I understand. I’m saying they already do. Sometimes people guesstimate that the EV of working with assholes would be higher than the cost. A more fundamental problem in today’s society is a general lack of “the theory of the mind”.

If kids are taught the basic tools of how to discern motivations, basic tools of social intelligence, human behavior etc, they would be a lot better served than most of today’s curricula.
