Caloric restriction in humans doesn't have the same effects as in mice. The mice shut down their reproductive systems. Also, the mice were miserable and bit people a lot.https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2005/08/050830065729.htm …

That sounds a lot like what it does to humans! Undereating makes (at least women) infertile and makes everyone unhappy.
