      Our work shows how the embryonic aorta has evolved to utilize repetitive element transcripts to induce innate immune receptor signals and orchestrate developmental hematopoiesis! Nature never maintains anything that is of no use to it.

          We cannot help but wonder whether this mechanism can be pertinent to other systems entailing chromatin rearrangement and potential repetitive element activation. There's definitely plenty more where that came from...
