    2. Evident tendency towards sensationalism. Headlines about "winning" or "staggering" do not accurately convey what is going on or how it affects Ukrainians and Russians. These headlines appear to mostly create an appealing, cinematic narrative.

    1. Western media seems to have a major problem with perspective - ie, they really struggle with understanding how Ukrainians/E Europeans see things. Interviewing people about how scared they are doesn't cut it.

    I have never seen twitter as immediately mad as it is rn about the NYT wordle buyout. the NYT took one nice and simple thing that a lot of people really liked, a dumb bit of fun in our exhaustingly dark times, and implied that they’ll stick it behind a paywall. exhausting.

    This tweet is incredibly irresponsible. It makes it sound like vaccinated ppl are as likely to get and spread Covid as unvaccinated people are, which the CDC document absolutely does not say.

    Breaking News: The Delta variant is as contagious as chickenpox and may be spread by vaccinated people as easily as the unvaccinated, an internal C.D.C. report said.
