Calling all scientists with relevant domain experience. There are 313 results on for "coronavirus" right now. Almost none of them have attached reviews. Let's fix that by Monday morning. Who's with me?

—e.g. small groups had 70% pwr to detect sizable effects (d=0.5) w single ROI-style analysis, but <20% pwr w cluster extent-based correction. The ground truth suggests sizable effects missed across tasks. Cf “Ways to improve power” in the discussion incl design and inference 2/2

To be clear, design considerations can def be more critical than the inferential procedure for reproducible inferences! (re ) That said, also need to highlight that the inferential procedure has important effects on power— (1/2)

Def niche, but here’s a message for everyone 🙂 “These results suggest that we have, until now, only measured the tip of the iceberg in the activation-mapping literature due to our goal of limiting the familywise error rate through cluster extent-based inference.”

Hey you, do you like neurons? Like glia? Like them working together to build thalamic circuits? I'm thrilled to share our recent work in (🔓)! Retinal axons communicate with astrocytes to recruit migrating interneurons into LGN. Congrats to all! Thread for the nerds..

Exploration + Open science = Open exploration. Exploration is an important part of science and may need its own “open” solutions. We wrote a little opinion piece about it. equally cowritten with and Patrick Bissett.

Always love seeing ‘s conceptualization of reproducibility 😍 Useful across many fields. The rest of the handbook is a gem for understanding open science in theory and practice
