Burocracy? The European Commission has 33.000 employees. Less than the city of Chicago (35.000) or the State of South Carolina (35.000). The EU is not a burocracy. It is the most successful conflict control mechanism in the world. On a continent that was bled dry by wars.

The folks writing checks for a new Space Force are the same ones asking “how are you going to pay for” public college or healthcare. This is the richest country in the world. Our problem isn’t a lack of money. It’s a lack of good priorities. And that is something we can change.

I'd pay 💰 to be in the room when the UK trade delegation asks Russia, China, India, Canada, Japan, etc. for the same or better trade deal as the EU.

Fun fact: Apple's quarterly profit ($22.2 BILLION) was bigger than all of Facebook's revenue ($21.1 BILLION) in last quarter. Billions are capitalized because these are incomprehensibly large numbers.

Those two pictures are less than 12 years apart. On 10 May 1933 Nazi party staged ideological spectacle of burning of 'un-German’ books. After the liberation of remains of burnt people were discovered. Auschwitz is a warning of where human hatred can lead to.

Let's be clear: Donald Trump's Muslim ban was never about safety — it was a blatant ploy to fan the flames of bigotry and score points with his political base. I will end it.

75 years ago Auschwitz was liberated. Today China imprisons a million Uyghur Muslims & other minorities without trial in camps from which we receive reports of forced labor, brainwashing, physical torture, mental torture, and medical experimentation. is still a dream.

Today, we remember the millions of lives lost. Tomorrow and always, we vow to reject cruelty so that it never happens again. “History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.”— Maya Angelou

They say “We can’t do that. We’re not Amsterdam.” You respond “Amsterdam wasn’t always like that either,” showing before & after transformations illustrating that cities we admire made CHOICES. They make more tired excuses. (1e van der Helststraat, 1978 & 2005 HT )

No one should have to watch a loved one die because they don't have health insurance. I don't understand what is so radical about that.

Nearly half a century ago, the Supreme Court affirmed abortion as a constitutional right. I am sick and tired of conservatives who say, "Get government off our backs," while telling women what they can do with their bodies. Women get to control their bodies—not politicians.
