One important test that is needed, is an extended one, such as a complexsoftware render that will take 1+ hour to complete. That will prevent issues such as CPUs with a time limited boost speed.

Not sure how Intel screwed up, unless the rampage is real in which case I would like to buy it..pic.twitter.com/DT5eVLvYzs

Not Just that. They used a beta bios {3202) that was pulled by Asus..

Was the 980 Pro installed on the CPU-attached M.2 slot on the AMD machine?
-
Allyn didn’t test using the M.2 slots, he used a x16 slot with a riser card to make sure it was CPU attached on both platforms.

Could you give us some actual numbers instead of these somewhat useless "relative performance" things? It's practically impossible for anyone to compare these claims without any actual data points to go off of which really isn't a great look for you guys.
-
Intel have *long* stuck to that playbook, particularly right before their major releases. They love PCMark but above all BAPCo's SYSmark, which is little more than a sales tool for Intel CPUs..

A single PCMark value is meaningless without backing it up with hard reproducible data. Besides even this value cannot be independently verified before Rocket Lake is on the market. This feels and smells like one of your boilerplate pre-release PR "benchmarks" (with huge " ").
