Bringing back a polarizing/controversial figure doesn't honor Mean Gene IMO, it takes the spotlight away from where it should be.https://twitter.com/JoeBates1992/status/1081317761538842630 …

This isn't about Hogan coming back without boos or "promising change." This is about honoring Gene Okerlund. Hogan knew Gene better than any wrestler in the sport and you know it's true.

They were roommates at one point, traveled the road together for years. There isn’t anyone you associate Mean Gene with more than Hogan. Yeah Hulk is controversial but they were friends and you can’t have a Mean Gene memorial without hearing from the Hulkster.

It's almost as if they were waiting for the right time to bring Hogan back. This isn't it. This will take away from Gene

why not just make a touching vid package like they do for anyone else? bringing hogan back 100% takes the spotlight away from gene. anyone that diasgrees is wrong tbh.

Also, if honouring Gene is what it’s actually about, you don’t need to promote that days in advance as his return to RAW.

When you think of Mean Gene, the first person you think of that he interviewed was Hogan. A commercial just THIS year had Kevin Hart spoofing it.

And? That doesn't mean use it as an excuse to get Hogan back on tv.

Having someone, who was a very close friend of Mean Gene, appear on TV to talk about the man as a memorial is not an excuse. It's a smart and (hopefully) well intentioned service.

There are a lot of people who were good friends with mean gene. It's no coincidence the one they choose is the racist pos they've been trying to get back on tv all of last year.

Wild how easily these people are willfully taken advantage of. This is emotional manipulation of the highest order from WWE. It does the opposite of honor Mean Gene. It exploits his death to benefit their bottom line.
