A. Photo selection is an important editorial choice and pictures are worth lots of words but B this was a very short piece, not every article is going to get into everything, but we've done a lot on that

Zaid: how do you tell a story about women with out mentioning women? You've done this with crime too: no mention of gender or that Women Committ 10% of murders. No mention to gender, women: misses the actual subject of the story

Zaid particularly never addresses gender . This story : teachers, labor, a backlash on trump/republicans/mysinogy is about women. Not addressing that is purposeful and sexist. It's a trend with the intercept to not see women. Even the pic is indicative of who's driving this
