Here’s an example of how JD raises money for candidates that wouldn’t show up in FEC reportshttps://secure.actblue.com/donate/marywilson?akid=1265.46739.8fJSup&amount=15&express_lane=true&rd=1&refcode=em20180329-el&t=19 …

Not to Brand New Congress (a fellow PAC) but to the aligned Brand New Campaign, LLC (a consulting firm w no public reporting). JD gave them $796K in 2017 out of a total $1.3M in disbursements. Must've been a break tho bc this quarter, JD gave them 0.

-
Or someone noticed we noticed.
-
First 8 months of 2017, JD & BNC used the LLC to pay their bills (payroll, travel, etc) & called it "consulting," hiding how they spent $. Super sketchy. (maybe illegal?) Starting 09/2017, both began paying/disclosing their own disbursements. Now they're not using the LLC at all.

Ryan, we send emails out fundraising directly for candidates and give candidates access to all donors that they get from those e-mails. Happy to show you numbers on that, connect you with candidates we've helped, or anything else you are interested in.

They work together so this makes sense, are Justice Democrats then more of just a political/media component to BNC's explicit campaign operation?

i think the idea is that if they funnel money they get into candidates, it'll be considered a PAC contribution. and they would rather candidates get individual contributions directly. i could be wrong about this, but this is at least how i've understood the whole thing.
-
i do get it when ppl say that they'd rather give to candidates, tho. there's just too many things about JD that i have questions about. BNC, OR, and PHP are all better in that sense, but even then, i want to be sure of where my money is going. giving to candidates ensures that.

That's too many middlemen between you and a candidate. Something is skimmed at every level. They all have bills to pay. I'll donate to candidates directly.

Nothing better than middlemanning. All pay no work.
