The AP says that the new Medicare Extra for All plan would require higher taxes, but that's not actually true. If it cuts health care spending rates, a tax CUT might be needed to fill the demand gap https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2018/02/21/us/politics/ap-us-health-overhaul-new-plan.html?mtrref=t.co …

I'm hearing conflicting things about Medicare extra. Since under this administration single payer is out of the question, would a clean public option be better than Medicare extra.

None of this convo is about what can pass under the current administration, it's about what we expect a new Dem majority to do in 2020

Put simply: Taxes don't fund the federal government, our currency issuer. Federal taxes, among other things, regulate inflation by removing excess dollars from circulation. So, why not go for simple single payer, which would be even more deflationary than CAP proposal?

It is an old tactic they use. They define "current healthcare spending" as NOT a tax and then they define M4A spending as a tax and conclude that taxes must go up, when in reality healthcare costs will go down and the question is who will we give that difference in $$$ to.

Still ignore the facts. Of course no one will admit the high cost.

This sounds like it's headed for Britain's National Health Service. Everybody is eligible for single payer, but employers offer private coverage as an add-on to get quicker service at a premium from the same exact doctors.

Thanks for pointing out truth. We R surrounded by RW propagandists. Even MSM "covers both sides" even if 1 side is lies. Propagandists/con artists got T & GOP Congr elected, by getting ppl 2 believe lies.
