Analysts said the market tanked on “fears of rising wages.” In our current system, rising wages indicate inflation, so the Fed pulls back and raised rates to cool the economy....

but that’s because the “inflation target” — the rate the Fed thinks is safe — is only 2%. Thanks to the work of activists like
@AdyBarkan Janet Yellen, who was predisposed to lean this way already, was considering raising the target number...Show this thread -
that’s so important because it would allow wages to grow without causing the market to tank and would push us toward full employment. At full employment bosses cannot indulge their racism and sexism because they need the worker more than the worker needs them. And wages rise.

@MSignorile This is from the Onion, right? People don't truly believe that high employment encourages sexism and racism. -

Employers transparently refer to employees as human capital. Because political power has shifted toward employers & away from employees, our government helps keep the cost of human capital low to the point of redistributing wealth for basic human needs, exacerbating class warfare

Just remember everyone -- Trump refused to reappoint the very successful Yellen -- so when inflation goes crazy and interest rates go whacky you can't blame Obama or Janet Yellen. Yellen's historic legacy: Wise caution and a successful recovery http://cnnmon.ie/2FH2rki

Uh oh! Mary Madge surfaced. So, since I’m on a roll: I’m looking at her “Followers” and noticing how difficult it is to distinguish Trump’s Hardcore followers from Putin’s Russian bots. Could be they’re all the same people?
