@cenkuygur did the@HartsonForCA announcement show, Applegate said he had already raised $400K. The Q4 numbers aren't in yet on the FEC site, but he raised close to $550K last year. -

I think b/c Applegate got so close in 2016, he's got the name recognition edge. The fact that he's a Marine is an intangible that's not easily quantified. I'm pretty sure if Applegate wins the primary, he'll win the General. If the GOP runs a veteran against Levine, who knows.

Marge Doyle in CA-1 (who also outraised the incumbent). Paul Spencer (AR-2) outraised the incumbent in individual donations. Hildebrandt in NM-2. Scholten in IA-4 outraised not just the establishment lawyer running against him, but incumbent Paul King. Golden in ME-2.
