I mean, is it possible that her established record & positions (of her campaign she ran last cycle) is more important than a newspaper quiz form? Or do we have to jump right to 'they're frauds'?

@achanu@emilyslist Emily's List doesn't get their forms. One factor in this race is that Jess's opponent did the work in 16 -
I respect the work Hartman did in 2016—and voted for her—but how do you figure she made the seat more competitive? She got just half a percentage more of the vote share than Houghton got running for the same seat in 2014, but she spent 8 times more money.

And Hartman underperformed Hillary Clinton in the district by 5.5k votes, while Lloyd Smucker overperformed Trump by nearly 7k votes. What's the argument for how Hartman is a competitive candidate for this seat?

Not saying she's competitive- saying she shouldn't get the full on tarnish treatment.
