They're going to get it out of the House with Republican votes,
@SenSchumer and@SenateDems are going to roll on both the#DreamAct and fully funding#CHIP. There will probably be short term funding but CHIP families will have to go through this again in a couple of months. -

Exactly I've called my Senator Sherrod Brown's office and asked for a no vote without clean fully funded CHIP as a part of the deal. I just don't see that as too much to ask for.

That's what I wish. If they've got just enough votes to eek by and ram a deeply unpopular partisan tax cut through, let them use the same to try and keep the govt open. Deficit hawks can't go from non-chalant on deficit on Wednesday, to suddenly caring again on Friday.

She won a short extension.

The extension is only until March. In early fall, Sen Finance Cmte, headed by GOP, approved Sen. Bill 1827, which would have funded CHIP.
@SenateMajLdr refuses to advance it to the floor. He is responsible for this shameful threat to 9 million kids and pregnant women.
