wages themselves are in part a result of political organizing. Union density drives up wages even for non-union people.
You enjoying your weekend? Working people organized and fought for that, and you’re the beneficiary. Or did you earn that all on your lonesome?

I work on my weekends too, Ivory White Tower dude. To finish the work I don't get to do at night during the week. To bust my ass and get ahead. Not all of us work 9-5 and then just wait to collect entitlements when the age clock strikes midnight.
