wages themselves are in part a result of political organizing. Union density drives up wages even for non-union people.

And? This is great ra-ra union go-team theoretical fluff, but Bob and Martha getting welfare and voting for politicians to leave it unreformed didn't "earn" the money coming out of the 60 hours I worked last week.

I work on my weekends too, Ivory White Tower dude. To finish the work I don't get to do at night during the week. To bust my ass and get ahead. Not all of us work 9-5 and then just wait to collect entitlements when the age clock strikes midnight.
