For the Clinton folks in my TL, I'm genuinely curious what the answer to this is. Why should Sanders voters be held to a different standard?https://twitter.com/doe_shin/status/915924339198918656 …

25% of Hillary voters voted for McCain in '08 and Obama still won so it's just silly of her to blame Bernie for her loss because of the 12%

They shouldn't. Difference is she fully backed Obama & never questioned his authority. Sanders on the other hand.....+ McCain isn't Trump.

She didnt. She held out for consessions, the same as Bernie. The difference is she buys into pay for play and Bernie doesnt.

The deal she made was that Obama would pay her campaign debt. Good for her, but it was not pure nobility at work

Plus support for her 2016 run, SoS position, etc.

She had leverage. By many accounts she won the popular vote in 08. 2016 there was a 3 MILLION gap. Yet Bernie still had a lot of say.

So you are claiming Hillary had more votes than Obama?

Yep. Based on states that have caucuses and primaries like Washington. For instance, 2016 Bernie won the caucus but lost the primary.

Ahh. So I can claim Bernie actually won the primaries then. Ok.

You're missing the point, and I think you're doing it on purpose. Go look in the mirror and debate yourself if you're gonna be disingenuous.

Either they both lost, or its ambiguous for both because of caucuses. We cant pick and choose interpret. that support the cand we like.

Yes! They both lost! The initial question was about votes and why one sector feels they have more leverage than the other. That's the debate
