A Democrat held the Democrat seat & a Republican held the Republican seat. Where was the shift? #CTPolitics

Republicans won by 16k last time, 2k this time, and Dems expanded on their blowout margins
-
@crlynmarie387 no shift yet. Margins are up
but that doesn't shift the control yet -
the shift is that it's hard to get good democrat turnout in special elections and off years.
-
The lazy nonvoting left screwed America starting in 2010, then 2014, 2016. Then piss and moan about the outcome. Left created trump.
-
didnt Trump lose by 3 million votes? Dont think we can blame the left for what the electoral college did
-
you can't expect to change and win US politics without first winning by the political rules

Which districts? Can't find reporting on this anywhere.
-
Connecticut House District 115 and Senate Districts 2 and 32
-
We know. Which two won?
-
McCrory won 2nd and Borer won 115th.
-
Thank you. Margin was close for Cava at least?
-
Yes, high turn out and close race in usual R stronghold.
-
Wonderful. On to the next one!

we're the 2 dem seats competitive? Last time they went GOP?
-
gotcha - I mean a win is a win but not exactly big news here
-
The big news is how great the turnout was. Especially in the district that was lost. The D candidate won several towns.
-
the loss was historically small and the turnout was historically high. Progress!
-
for the close race lost, district 32, I would love to see the numbers, ideally by precinct?
-
have not seen that uet, but it was 45% Cava (D) 55% Berthal (R)
-
hmmm that's a significant spread. If you get more info please pass it along. Thanks!
